Her is a one act, one woman play, written, directed and performed by Polona
Ferjancic, Slovenian visual artist, writer and performer.
The piece follows the aftermath of a shocking and tragic event, focusing on one
woman’s personal disintegration as it threatens the tear her life apart.
It is in intimate portrayal of her struggles as she questions feelings of guilt,
powerlessness and fear while trying to deal with the consequences.
Trapped in a horrifying and absurd reality, the play puts the woman’s panic ridden
thought process on full display, not shying away from the raw and grotesque nature
of the situation. The piece muddles the boundaries between the audience and the
performer, forcing them to invade her privacy as she attempts to come to terms with
the new reality of her existence, whether it was her fault or not.
